Tungsten Carbide Products

Shengyufeng has been focusing on the research and development and manufacturing of tungsten carbide products for 13 years. It has developed a unique coating technology in the field of woodworking tools (certified by ISO 15641), which increases the life of the cutting edge by 300%. The metal processing series uses a military-grade TaC additive ratio with a red hardness of 1250°C. The HyperShock structure of the mining/construction sector has been verified by 3D finite element impact simulation, and its dynamic compressive strength is 35% higher than that of the same level. All of our tungsten carbide components are based on a unified powder metallurgy laboratory, and all cross-domain tungsten carbide tools for sale follow the same set of strict particle size control standards (to ensure the consistency of material performance under different working conditions.

Types of Cemented Tungsten Carbide Parts

Our parts of tungsten carbide wholesale include non-standard shaped parts, round rods, strips, blades, and high-specific gravity alloys,

all designed for durability and precision in various industrial applications. All cemented carbide tools have traceable powder batch management.

Industrial-Grade Applications of Cemented Carbide Products

From wear-resistant tools to high-precision industrial molds, cemented carbide has become a core material in modern manufacturing due to its unparalleled hardness and corrosion resistance. As a professional tungsten carbide parts supplier, we are well aware of the industry's stringent requirements for material performance.
Industrial-Grade Applications of Cemented Carbide Products
  • Cutting Tools and Machinery: cemented tungsten carbide is commonly used in the manufacturing of cutting tools, such as drills, saw blades, and milling cutters, because of its ability to maintain a sharp edge and withstand high temperatures during machining processes.

  • Mining and Construction: In the mining and construction industries, cemented tungsten carbide is used in drill bits, tunnel boring machines, and other equipment that requires materials with high resistance to wear and abrasion, ensuring longevity and efficiency in tough environments.

  • Wear-Resistant Applications: cemented tungsten carbide is utilized in various wear-resistant applications, including industrial machinery components, nozzles, and wear plates, due to its exceptional hardness and ability to resist deformation and wear, extending the lifespan of these parts.

Typical Maintenance Requirements for Cemented Carbide Product

Typical Maintenance Requirements for Cemented Carbide Product

01

Regular Cleaning

Use solvent-based degreasers (e.g., acetone/IPA) with ultrasonic cleaning to remove machining residues; avoid abrasive tools that may damage the Co binder. Immediately dry tungsten carbide components with compressed air (≤0.8MPa) to prevent moisture-induced cobalt leaching from WC grains.

02

Inspection for Damage

Use 10x magnification to check for micro-chipping, cracks, or binder phase corrosion in the tungsten carbide tools—critical in high-wear areas like cutting edges or sealing surfaces. Measure dimensional tolerance (±0.02mm) with CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) for critical wear parts like dies/guidelines to ensure spec compliance.

03

Protective Coatings

Specify physical vapor deposition (PVD) coatings like TiAlN or AlCrN (3-5μm thickness) for high-temperature applications above 800°C to prevent oxidation and diffusion wear. For acidic/alkaline environments, demand chemical vapor deposition (CVD) diamond coatings or electroless nickel-plating (50-100μm) with porosity testing (ferroxyl test ≤3 pores/cm²) to guarantee corrosion resistance.

04

Proper Storage

Store cemented carbide products in dry environments (<40% RH) with anti-rust desiccant, and avoid direct contact with ferrous metals to prevent galvanic corrosion on cemented carbide or tungsten steel surfaces. Use shock-absorbent packaging (e.g., foam-lined boxes) for precision-ground edges, and segregate by hardness grades (e.g., K10/K20) to avoid edge chipping during handling.

Lubrication
05

Lubrication

Use appropriate lubricants during operation to reduce friction and wear on moving tungsten carbide parts. For high-load applications, use extreme pressure (EP) greases with MoS₂ or WS₂ additives (NLGI Grade 2) to minimize adhesive wear on carbide tooling during metalworking operations.
